The Los Quinchos project, begun in 1991 in Nicaragua by the Italian Zelinda Roccia, takes in children and street kids, who are abandoned and maltreated, or who have run away from poor or broken families, with the aim of protecting them from violence and exploitation. It offers them the chance for a serene childhood, gives them knowledge of their rights and duties as future citizens, and reinserts them into the society when they are more aware and prepared.

The project avails itself of the passionate work, by about forty people, including educators, psychologists, artisans, helpers, and administrators, all Nicaraguan. Besides having carried out several such projects, we have proposed training in Pychosynthesis to the educators.
