The Verso Foundation’s mission is education, but there is also a part of Verso with a sharp focus on areas that are experiencing great suffering or insecurity.
Father Emanuel George (Fr Abhi) manages and leads a wonderful project that rescues abandoned girls in the stations of Varanasi and offers them shelter and education, rescuing them from a future of degradation, exploitation and danger to their lives.
The place that Francesca Barbagli and Andrea Bocconi visited in 2018 has an air of serenity and joy which warms the heart.
Since 2019, the Verso Foundation has been supporting the catholic organisation run by Fr Abhi with its head office in Sarnath, known as DARE (Development Association for Research and Empowerment).
We plan to visit DARE again as soon as possible.
